I. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Natural Diced Dried Pears
are prepared from sound, mature, fresh pears which have been washed, cored, cut, tunnel-dried and diced. The product is inspected throughout the process to assure conformance to good manufacturing practices, yielding a clean, wholesome product which meets all standards for human consumption, including compliance with provisions of the Federal regulations.
II. PHYSICAL

Color: light to dark brown, characteristic of un-sulfured dried pears.

Flavor: sweet to tart, typical of the variety, and free from off flavors.
|

Defects: reasonably free of defects as defined by the Dried Fruit Association (DFA) of California standards for dried pears.
|

|
Sizes: available in 1/2" and 1/4" dices. It is also available in double-diced size i.e. diced twice using 1/4" dice plates.

Moisture: 15-20% as determined by DFA moisture meter.

VI. STORAGE/SHELF LIFE
| This product is best stored in cool (40-50°F), dry (50-60% RH) conditions, and should be used within 6 months for optimal quality. Store at 32°F or less for prolonged shelf life.
