I. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Dried pitted prunes
are prepared from sound, mature fresh prune plums which have been washed, tunnel-dried, pitted and sorbated. The product is inspected throughout the process to assure conformance to good manufacturing practices, yielding a clean, wholesome product which meets all standards for human consumption, including compliance with the provisions of the Federal regulations.

Color: dark purple to black, characteristic of the variety.

Flavor: sweet to tart, typical of the variety, and free from off flavors.

Defects: reasonably free of defects as defined by the Dried Fruit Association (DFA) of California standards for dried pitted prunes.

VI. STORAGE/SHELF LIFE
| This product is best stored in cool (40-50°F), dry (50-60% RH) conditions, and should be used within 12 months for optimal quality. Store at 32°F or less for prolonged shelf life.
